We have power back now, and not a single tree fell on our property  though next door a huge evergreen fell and missed our neighbors' house by inches. I heard the tree fall at ten o'clock, in the darkness and the wind.

My mom slept in the living room, with the battery radio on all night. When I woke up at one point and crept around the house, it felt like Spielberg's War of the Worlds. Very scary.

And another nice evening at Defiant (shvitz night) with my second oldest friend of all, Rodger.

This evening I had a grand time with my old MS/HS chum John at Defiant Brewery.
